What's New in Toolbox App 3.9
- TBX-18108 You can now install and manage Junie CLI, the JetBrains AI coding agent for the terminal, in the Toolbox App.
- TBX-19189 While a tool downloads, the progress tooltip now shows the downloaded and total size, the speed, and the time left.
- TBX-13517 The Install and Update tooltips and the version menu now show the download size before you start.
- TBX-12461 A link now shows its full address when you point at it, and you can right-click it to copy the address.
- TBX-19276 The Collect logs and diagnostic data action in Settings now also collects diagnostic data from remote development plugins.
- TBX-19299 If you cannot write to the tool folder, the Toolbox App now tells you about the update and offers a separate install for you.
- TBX-19305 On Linux, the Toolbox App now tells you how to fix an out-of-date font cache that stops its window from opening.
- TBX-9333 The arrow keys now move through the tools list in the correct order, and the list scrolls to keep the selected tool visible.
- TBX-19331 When a patch update fails, the Toolbox App now deletes its temporary copy of the tool, so failed updates no longer fill the disk.
- TBX-18986 An IDE no longer disappears after an update when you open the Toolbox App window while the update runs.
- TBX-19283 An IDE update no longer gets stuck when data protection software encrypts the IDE files.
- TBX-18232 On Linux, the Install button works again when the Toolbox App cannot read the Snap folder.
- TBX-18463 Quit and uninstall now removes a running tool, also when the Toolbox App window closes while the tool quits.
- TBX-19203 On Windows, the JetBrains Daemon now starts when the Toolbox App runs as an administrator.
- TBX-19241 On Windows and Linux, the Toolbox App now keeps the custom name of a tool after a restart.
- TBX-19220 System notifications now work on Linux.
- TBX-19255 With IDE Services, the Toolbox App no longer blocks an IDE right after it updates the IDE to an allowed version.
