About PVsyst

PVsyst is a PC software package for the study, sizing and data analysis of complete PV systems.
It deals with grid-connected, stand-alone, pumping and DC-grid (public transportation) PV systems, and includes extensive weather data and PV systems components databases, as well as general solar energy tools.
This software is geared to the needs of architects, engineers, researchers. It is also very helpful for educational training.
PVsyst focuses on complete and precise PV system study with a complete set of tools.

What's new in 8.1.7

  • Improvements
  • 3D scene: added more warnings to the PVC2 import
  • Performance: running the simulation for systems with many subarrays is now much faster
  • Simulation: predefined sub-hourly time steps can now be selected in the advanced simulation dialog, allowing users to run simulations at different time steps for improved efficiency.
  • Corrections
  • 3D scene: PVC2 import now recognises the new "rotate_with_tracker" gap element
  • Interactive map: using OpenStreetMap when creating a new site is working again
  • Simulation: the subhourly simulation doesn't crash anymore on large projects with many subarrays
  • Unavailability: issues related to the unavailability definition no longer cause crashes.
