WhoCrashed reveals the drivers responsible for crashing your computer.
Whenever a computer running Windows suddenly reboots without displaying any notice or blue or black screen of death, the first thing that is often thought about is a hardware failure. In reality, crashes are often caused by malfunctioning device drivers and kernel modules. In case of a kernel error, computers running Windows do not show a blue or black screen unless they are configured to do so. Instead these systems suddenly reboot without any notice.
WhoCrashed shows the drivers that have been crashing your computer with a single click. In most cases it can pinpoint the offending drivers that have been causing misery on your computer system in the past. It does post-mortem crashdump analysis and presents all gathered information in a comprehensible way. In case your system has been crashing because of a hardware failure, WhoCrashed will provide you with guidance to trace the root cause of the problem.
Normally, debugging skills and a set of debugging tools are required to do post-mortem crash dump analysis. Using WhoCrashed you do not need any debugging skills to be able to find out what drivers are causing trouble to your computer.
What's new in 7.10
Certain dump files could not be analyzed due to a buffer overflow error
Certain crash dump files could not be analyzed with WhoCrashed because of a "buffer overflow error". This would cause the program to terminate. This bug has been fixed.
Updated debug DLLs
The debug DLL versions used for analyzing crash dumps have been updated.
Wrong bugcheck analysis problem fixed
WhoCrashed could draw the wrong conclusion analyzing certain crash dumps. The analysis process has been improved to prevent this.
Clicking on "cancel" during dump analysis could produce unexpected behavior
Clicking the cancel button while a dump analysis process was in progress could give unexpected results. This problem has been fixed.
After clicking on "cancel" when prompted to download symbols, analysis would proceed
When prompted to download symbol files, WhoCrashed would anyway proceed with the analysis process after clicking the cancel button. This problem has been fixed.
Minor changes and improvements
Several minor changes and improvements have been applied to WhoCrashed which are not being specified.
Arduino Builder is a standalone utility for viewing, compiling and uploading Arduino sketch files and compiled ELF or HEX files to Arduino boards with the Arduino serial programming interface, Arduino ISP or USBasp, without the need for the Arduino IDE. The app has a standard user interface with drop down menus to choose the data you need. The functions of the utility can be undertaken in 3 steps. When compiling is required, for uploading sketch file, Arduino Builder scans the sketch for referenced libraries and then builds the necessary libraries automatically. The distribution package contains Arduino 1.0.4 core and library files, AVR GCC compiler toolchain and AVRDUDE. Please be aware that as only the standard Arduino libraries are shipped with the utility, if you want to build with custom libraries, then you will need to place the library source code files with the identical directory name into /arduino/libraries directory.
