About Claude Code Usage Monitor Pro
A Windows taskbar widget that shows current usage and time remaining until each
limit resets, for Claude Code, Codex, Google Antigravity, OpenCode Go, Cursor, and
GitHub Copilot.
It collects no analytics or telemetry, and sends each provider's credentials only
to that provider's own API.
This is an unofficial fork of Claude Code Usage Monitor by Craig Constable
(Code Zeno Pty Ltd), published under the original MIT licence. It is not
affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by the original author; please report
issues with this fork to its own issue tracker. The original package is published
separately as CodeZeno.ClaudeCodeUsageMonitor.
Changes in this fork:
- Adds GitHub Copilot, showing the monthly premium-request allowance. Its token is
read only from DPAPI-protected sources, never from a plain-text variable.
- Secrets for OpenCode Go and Cursor, like the Copilot token, must be encrypted
with DPAPI; a plain-text value in an environment variable or in the monitor's own
config file is refused.
- The widget floats clear of the taskbar when the running-application buttons
leave no room, instead of drawing over them and the overflow button. It can be
dragged, and remembers where it was put.
- Readings that have stopped updating are drawn in greyscale rather than
continuing to look live.
- Renewing an expired token by starting the provider CLI is now optional, since
that is a real API call that spends the quota this tool reports.
- The portable self-update mechanism has been removed. It replaced the running
executable with a download that was never signature- or hash-verified.
- Keeps its own settings, startup entry and window names, so it can be installed
alongside the original; existing settings are copied over on first run.
- The executable is self-contained: the C runtime is built in, so it does not
need the Visual C++ Redistributable, only DLLs that ship with Windows.
- The dashboard draws with Direct3D 12, so it also opens in virtual machines and
Remote Desktop sessions without a GPU driver, where OpenGL was unavailable.
- The Claude desktop app's sign-in is also found when the app came from the
Microsoft Store, and a valid token from any source is used before an expired one.
- An About page shows the version and, for each provider, where its sign-in comes
from and when it expires, without ever showing a token.
- Cursor's database is read in place instead of being copied to a temp folder.
- Translations are complete in all 14 languages.
