The following describes improvements made in the September 2026 update. Continuous Scrolling in Live Text View When a line of text under the mouse pointer or cursor exceeds the width of the Live Text View window, scroll arrows appear at the start or end of the displayed text. Previously, CAPS LOCK+RIGHT ARROW and CAPS LOCK+LEFT ARROW moved through the line one character at a time. You can now press and hold either hotkey to scroll continuously, making it faster to read through long lines of text. Published Applications Published applications are virtual software programs hosted on a remote server that users can run as if they were installed directly on their own local device. These environments are commonly used by enterprise customers. - Published Applications now automatically use the same ZoomText settings configured locally, including application-specific settings such as different magnification levels for a web browser and Microsoft Word. Previously, these settings had to be configured separately. - The compact ZoomText interface shown when no local ZoomText instance is running has been simplified to two buttons: Expand/Collapse and Exit. When expanded, it now shows the ZoomText version and Windows Server version. The previous Show Toolbar and Run Standalone buttons have been removed. - After ZoomText has been started locally at least once, startup dialogs (such as the Welcome screen, Startup Wizard, and Account dialog) no longer display when ZoomText runs as a Published Application on the server side of a remote connection. - AppReader now starts and reads text correctly in Published Applications when launched via hotkeys: CAPS LOCK+ALT+R (AppReader), CAPS LOCK+ALT+A (App View mode), or CAPS LOCK+ALT+T (Text View mode). - Mouse commands for AppReader and Freeze View now work reliably when running ZoomText as a Published Application in remote desktop environments (including Citrix and RDP), regardless of the remote window's state. Previously, these commands could be unresponsive until the remote desktop window was maximized. - An AHOI status report is used by technical support to troubleshoot issues. The AHOI report (CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+R) now includes the status of the current foreground Published Application. Remote Desktop and Published Application Installations ZoomText automatically detects whether it is running in a Remote Desktop or Published Application environment. …

The following describes improvements made in the August 2026 update. Improved Support for Published Applications in Server Environments Published applications are virtual software programs hosted on a remote server that users can run as if they were installed directly on their own local device. These environments are commonly used by enterprise customers. To benefit from these improvements, this update must be installed on both the server and client computers. The following fixes are included: - When running ZoomText as a published application from a server while connected to a local instance of ZoomText, only the local settings are now used and stored. This change ensures that the user's settings remain available and consistent across sessions started from the same client computer. Previously, ZoomText attempted to store settings on the server, where they were not persistent. - When running ZoomText as a published application without a local instance of ZoomText also running, a small UI is displayed. It contains three buttons: Show Toolbar, Run Standalone, and Exit. Previously, clicking Show Toolbar on this UI would close the UI without displaying the ZoomText toolbar. This has been fixed. Clicking the Show Toolbar button now correctly displays the ZoomText toolbar. - When running ZoomText as a published application from a server and then launching a local instance of ZoomText, the ZoomText toolbar would fail to display. This has been fixed. Localization …

The following describes improvements made in the June 2026 update. OCR and Picture Smart Mouse Mode Results Now Display in the JAWS Results Viewer (Fusion Only) Two new layered keystrokes provide another way to use OCR and Picture Smart with Mouse Mode while displaying results in the JAWS Results Viewer window instead of AppReader. - INSERT+SPACEBAR, O, M performs OCR using Mouse Mode. Draw a rectangle around an area of the screen to recognize text. - INSERT+SPACEBAR, P, M starts Picture Smart using Mouse Mode. Draw a rectangle around an image or screen area to get a description. Hold SHIFT before releasing the mouse button to generate two descriptions for comparison. Results from these layered keystrokes are displayed in Results Viewer, allowing you to review content using familiar JAWS and Windows navigation commands. This may be especially useful for JAWS users who prefer the Results Viewer interface. When OCR or Picture Smart is started from the Fusion or ZoomText toolbar, results continue to be displayed in AppReader. AppReader remains the preferred option for users who want Fusion or ZoomText's visual enhancement controls and a reading environment that is familiar to ZoomText and Fusion users. This feature is available when running Fusion or when using JAWS and ZoomText together. Other Enhancements - When using multiple monitors, screen enhancements (color, cursor, pointer, and focus) can be configured to appear on a single display. …

The following describes improvements made in the May 2026 update. Visual Refresh ZoomText has a fresh, new look. The desktop icon now features a brighter green background with a white “Z,” and updated graphics appear throughout the application, including the Startup Wizard. This refresh makes it easier to locate the ZoomText icon on the desktop. The refreshed design also aligns ZoomText with the updated branding used across JAWS and Fusion, creating a more consistent and recognizable experience across the Vispero product family. Improved Windows 11 Compatibility and Performance We continue to enhance ZoomText to keep pace with the latest Windows 11 updates (version 24H2 and later) and modern graphics technology. As part of this effort, ZoomText now uses an updated display adapter called Capture API, which helps reduce issues like black screens and delivers a more consistent and reliable viewing experience, especially on newer computers. Everything works automatically, so there is nothing to set up. ZoomText simply delivers the best possible experience for your system. Turkish Language Support Now Available in Fusion Fusion is now available in Turkish, expanding accessibility to a broader range of users. Other Enhancements - Live Text View settings can now be adjusted smoothly, with reduced screen flicker thanks to the new Capture API display adapter method. …
