Design & Motion Every transition and micro-interaction has been carefully tuned to follow Material Design 3 motion guidelines: - Asymmetric timing — enter animations are slightly longer than exits, giving new content time to land while dismissed content leaves quickly - Emphasized easing curves — decelerate on enter (cubic-bezier(0.2, 0, 0, 1)), accelerate on exit (cubic-bezier(0.3, 0, 0.8, 0.15)), replacing generic ease curves throughout the codebase - Spring-based modals — dialogs use physically-modeled spring animations for a natural, responsive feel - Consistent motion tokens — all durations and curves are defined as CSS custom properties, ensuring a unified rhythm across 12+ components

What's Changed This release bundles Aria2 Next 3.0.9 for all platforms. Downloads finish without a slow tail, a retried download no longer corrupts its file, and a slow IPv6 route no longer holds a download back. It also fixes the Windows installer and caption buttons, external links, repeated clipboard prompts and RPM upgrades from a beta. 🛠 Improvements - Aria2 Next 3.0.9 — a slow connection hands its remaining range to idle ones at the end of a download (#762); connections move off an address family that is several times slower, so a broken IPv6 route no longer keeps a download at a crawl; connections that fall far behind are replaced - Clipboard — a copied link is offered once per run, also after the main window is recreated from the tray or the link was already used in the add window (#751) - Browser takeover — when the engine receives a verification page instead of the file, Rayburst takes over from the address the browser actually landed on (rayburst-connect#104) 🐛 Bug Fixes - Fixed corrupted downloads after a retry: the unwritten part of a preallocated file is no longer counted as downloaded, and a server that rejects extra connections with 403 lowers the connection count instead of failing (#767) - Fixed the Windows installer failing to stop running processes (#756) - Fixed the caption buttons not reacting to hover or clicks on Windows 10 (#755) - Fixed links in the update notes opening inside the app; links that leave the app open in the system browser (#764) - Fixed a window hidden to the tray reappearing when the GNOME session locks (#759) - Fixed a paused multi-file torrent asking for its file selection again (#754) - Fixed RPM upgrades from a beta to the stable release being refused as a downgrade (#766)

Caution Resuming a partial download now requires its original task and recovery data. Re-adding the same URL creates a new task instead of adopting an existing file by name or size. What's Changed Rayburst 4.0.1 adds filename controls and an Extensions panel, improves download recovery and desktop integration, and bundles Aria2 Next 2.8.6. ✨ New Features - Preview and edit filenames before downloading, with optional remote filename lookup. - Rename completed single-file downloads from task details, with collision protection and recoverable history updates. - Install Rayburst Connect for Chrome, Edge or Firefox from the new Extensions sidebar panel. 🛠 Improvements - Choose whether browser downloads ask for confirmation, start in the background or show Rayburst. Confirmation is the default. - Simplify update channels to Stable and Beta. Beta selects the newest version across both channels; neither channel offers downgrades. - Bundle Aria2 Next 2.8.6, with background disk I/O, transactional recovery checkpoints and improved handling of interrupted or compressed HTTP responses. - Support hostname patterns in proxy bypass rules and improve filename detection across redirects. - Refresh the website with interactive product previews, localized copy and a promotional film. 🐛 Bug Fixes - Prevent concurrent downloads from sharing an output file or resuming another task's partial data. - Fix retries and re-downloads that rejected full output paths as invalid filenames (#684). …

Important Motrix Next is now Rayburst. Settings, tasks and history are not imported into the new application. Before switching, finish active downloads, back up unfinished work, and quit and uninstall Motrix Next. Install Rayburst and configure it again. Keep your downloaded files. Updating through the old app may leave both applications installed or retain old shortcuts. Coming from an early 4.0 beta? Review custom file categories in Settings → Downloads. Each rule now needs a relative or absolute directory mode. Classification sets the destination before downloading; it no longer moves completed files. What's Changed Rayburst 4.0 introduces native HLS/DASH downloads, live recording and a unified sidebar. It brings the six beta releases to the stable channel, with Aria2 Next 2.8.2 and fixes for download recovery, browser handoff and desktop integration. ✨ New Features - Media downloads: select video, audio and subtitle tracks from HLS and MPEG-DASH sources. Save compatible output as MP4, MKV or subtitle-only WebVTT without a separate downloader. - Live recording: set a duration or choose Finish recording and save. Pause and retry media tasks using their existing recovery data. - Browser media capture: receive manifests, compatible media fragments and recordings from Rayburst Connect. Confirming a selection in the extension starts the same task without another desktop prompt. - Remember save location: optionally reuse the last directory you selected. …
