POTENTIAL INCOMPATIBILITIES
- When the max_channels limit is reached for a port-forwarding channel (direct-tcpip or forwarded-tcpip), the SSH daemon now refuses the individual channel with SSH_MSG_CHANNEL_OPEN_FAILURE and keeps the connection alive, instead of terminating the whole SSH connection. Port-forwarding channels now behave like session channels, which already survived the limit, and this matches OpenSSH. Applications that relied on the connection being closed when the channel limit was reached must instead handle the channel-open failure.
