Trancy Air is a desktop translation tool driven by shortcuts. Select a sentence or word to get an instant translation with phonetics, definitions and examples, type in your own language and replace it in place with the target language, or hold a shortcut and speak to turn speech into translated text. It also offers screenshot translation, comparison of several AI translation engines, sentence splitting and grammar analysis, a save-for-later word card flow with pronunciation scoring, and sync to the Trancy Learning Center.

Settings > Shortcuts now tells you when a shortcut needs a modifier key instead of quietly going back to the old one. Shift plus a letter or number on its own is no longer accepted, since that is just typing
Speaking Practice: short English sentences are no longer read aloud and scored as French
Text in German, French, Italian, Turkish, or Vietnamese typed without tone marks is no longer mistaken for the language you are learning, so it is translated in the right direction and read aloud in the right voice
Image Translate: text and a button sitting side by side are now translated separately instead of being squeezed into one spot, and single letters inside icons are left as they are
Mac: fixed Trancy Air sometimes staying open after Command-Q or Quit until you force quit it
Mac: Trancy Air now always reopens after "Download & restart to update"
Mac: fixed Trancy Air closing unexpectedly on macOS 12 when you used a shortcut on text selected inside one of its own windows, such as Onboarding or AI Dictionary
Windows: the light or dark Appearance you picked in Settings no longer switches back to the system one after you restart your computer
