About Workrave

Workrave is a free program that assists in the recovery and prevention of Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI). It monitors your keyboard and mouse usage and using this information, it frequently alerts you to take microbreaks, rest breaks and restricts you to your daily computer usage.

What's new in 1.11.5

Workrave 1.11.5 adds quiet micro-breaks, Windows power options during breaks,
and GNOME Shell 51 support. It also improves tray menus and window visibility,
and fixes problems with reading-mode timers, language selection, and sound preferences.
- New features and improvements:
- Added a "Break in quiet-mode" option for micro-breaks, so their timer can keep
running without automatic break reminders while rest-break reminders remain enabled
(#743, Pedro Rolo)
- Added support for GNOME Shell 51
- Added an option to hide the status window from the taskbar and window switcher
on Windows and Linux/X11. This option is enabled by default (#701, #747)
- Added shutdown, sleep, and hibernate options to the rest-break window on Windows (#735)
- The Windows installer now supports /NOLAUNCH to skip starting Workrave after installation
- Bug fixes:
- Fixed reading-mode timers staying paused after leaving suspended mode (#724, #727, #739)
- Fixed empty tray menus on Linux, including when using i3 with Polybar (#750)
- Fixed the GNOME Shell menu not appearing after choosing "Open Workrave" (#750)
- Fixed switches in the GNOME Shell menu not applying changes when dragged
- Fixed Workrave ignoring the system language when no language was selected in preferences
- Fixed crashes in Linux panel applets when Workrave's settings could not be found
- The Linux indicator applet now respects the automatic-start setting
- Fixed registry permission errors when installing Workrave for the current Windows user (#749)
- Fixed blocking break windows appearing in the taskbar and window switcher on
Windows and Linux/X11 (#747)
- Fixed the preferences window opening when dismissing the Windows tray menu (#720)
